Different Options When It Comes to Anti-theft Technologies in Cars from Nukul Chouhan's blog

There are a lot of optinos on the market nowadays when it comes to anti-theft technology and systems for vehicles. When you are spending a lot of money on your car it makes sense to invest in a system you feel confident in. There have been advances in technology so that there are more choices than just a car alarm, including tracking options, a car proximity lock, immobilizer devices and more. Here is a closer look so you can drive with confidence knowing your car is more protected from threats.

Tracking and recovery anti-theft device

You could choose to invest in a comprehensive anti-theft car system that focuses on tracking the vehicle and recovery should it be stolen. Such a system could include a bluetooth proximity killswitch as well as wireless RFID tracking devices placed around the car to allow for it to be tracked anywhere in the country. Then if something should happen and someone does manage to steal the car, there is a team who can access that information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help.

The car is declared stolen making it harder for the thieves to sell it. With certain logos placed on the car that makes it less desirable to steal in the first place. The combination of advanced technology and visual indication that the car can be tracked and recovered works very well. Modern devices are something only some can get around or jam, and their positioning ensures thieves cannot find them or reach them easily.

Immobilizer and anti-theft alarm

Another type of system is one that includes anti-theft alarms and immobilizer options. There are different ways immobilizers can work, but whether it works on the ignition, car battery or some other option, the idea is you or the people behind the system, have control over the car and can immobilize it at any time.            Some might include a car proximity lock.  Systems can use sensors that are ultrasonic so they detect when there are is movement too close to the car from someone unauthorized. When a threat is perceived the alarm goes off and the lights will flash. Some have a noise from the alarm as well as from the horn. It is there to get the attention of the owner to prevent the theft. They can be disabled remotely from a certain distance.

Kill switch for the ignition wire

As well as something like a bluetooth proximity killswitchthere are kill switches for the ignition wire. A switch is placed within the wiring for the ignition system so that when someone tries to start the car using the ignition, and they do not have the authority to do so, the electrical current flow is disrupted. It stops the thief from starting the car. The kill switch is placed in a location so that it is hard to find and cannot be gotten around. It is a reliable option for anti-theft, and security, a powerful tool and is also cost-effective.
