NYCC 2019: Birds of Prey Events and Harley Quinn TV Series Announced from MIA DAVIS's blog

New York Comic-Con 2019 is going to be the center stage for many movies and TV shows’ announcements. A couple of them are going to be DC Universe’s Harley Quinn animated series and Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).  The upcoming year is going to be a vital one for DC as they get ready to release the much-awaited Margot-led Birds of Prey. However, the Birds of Prey is not the only appearance Harley Quinn is going to make as she will be getting a solo TV show for herself as well.

The Birds of Prey film is going to cast several A-list stars like Rosie Perez (Renee Montoya Mary), Elizabeth Winstead (Huntress), Ella Jay Basco (Cassandra Cain), Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Black Canary), Chris Messina (Victor Zsaz), and Ewan McGregor (Black Mask). Christina Hodson is going to write the flick while Cathy Yan is going to direct it.

Even though there has not been much information revealed regarding the plot, fans have been treated with several brief teasers along with a vibrant poster. The movie has already set expectations amongst the fans that eagerly wait to see how this fun ride will pan through. The Harley Quinn animated series will be R-rated, and it will be intriguing to watch how DC manages the show.

The show will be a first animated project for DC and packs an impressive cast. The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco will voice Quinn while Alan Tudyk will voice the Joker along with Clayface. Other notable cast members comprise Giancarlo Esposito (Lex Luthor), Lake Bell (Poison Ivy), Wanda Sykes (Queen of Fables), James Wolk (Superman), Rahul Kohli (Scarecrow), Christopher Meloni (Commissioner Gordon), Vanessa Marshall (Wonder Woman),  and Sanaa Lathan (Catwoman). Even without any key information being released, the fans are on their toes to see what the show has in store.

 On Thursday, October 3rd, you can expect to get a look of exclusive Birds of Prey movie costumes. There will also be an opportunity to get giveaways, cosplay meet-ups, and photo chances alongside lifestyle goods inspired by the movie. A Harley Quinn based gallery is expected to be available on Friday, October 4th at the DC Universe’s Headquarters. It will be the first-time appearance of an installation named The Fantabulous Evolution of One Harley Quinn Gallery.

In regards of the animated series, the fans will get the opportunity to catch a glimpse of early look of DC” s adult animated action-comedy show. This chance will be provided on Sunday, October 6th.

The events will be a fantastic celebration for DC characters and will present a one-time opportunity to get a peek of the forthcoming projects. Seeing as how there has not been any information about the plot been released, NYCC would be the perfect spot to do so. Regarding the movie, there has been sneak-peek of stage pics leaked, so it is expected to catch a glimpse of movie costumes.

Harley Quinn is undoubtedly enjoying the time of her life with the comics providing stellar visibility to her. Now with a solo animated series and a movie, Harley’s popularity is sure to skyrocket. Her story will be retold with a new narrative, and the fans cannot wait to see what is in the store for them.
