Windows 7 is a personal system operating system that was developed by Microsoft as a part of the Windows NT family. Primarily it was seen as an incremental upgrade to Microsoft Windows. The critics generally praised windows 7. It came out to be a major success for Microsoft.  Your Windows 7 registry has the entire blueprint of Windows installation. If your registry gets polluted anyhow, then you can swiftly fix it. Your registry may get corrupted either through the bad driver or a failed uninstallation. No matter what the reason ,you can quickly fix it by performing a system restore to a time when your system was properly working. You can take help of the registry cleaning programs like a cleaner for troubleshooting the issue.

By Conducting a System Restore

If any recent change to your computer is causing errors in the registry, then you can go back to your system’s settings with the help of a restore point. You can open a system window following different ways.

  1. Tap Start menu and enter restore.
  2. Choose System Restore from the list that appeared.
  3. Enter Win+ Pause.
  4. Tap Advanced system settings link.
  5. Tap System Protection tab.
  6. Tap the System Restore button.

Choose a restore point

  1. If your system has System Restore, then Windows will choose a most recent restore point.
  2. Restore points are generated when significant changes are made to the system.
  3. If there are no restore points, then try these methods.
  4. Tap the Show more restore points box.
  5. You will see previous restore points if the error has been around for a while.
  6. Each of the restore points will have a timestamp and a short description of why the restore point was created.

Start scan for affected programs

You will see all the drivers and the programs that will be removed from your system.

  1. System restore will not make any difference to any personal file.
  2. Tap Next and Finish for starting the process of restoration.
  3. But, this may take some time.
  4. Once the restore is complete, the system will reboot.
