Star Wars universe consists of several types of living creatures, including humans and different kinds of aliens, but it also packs several smart droids and robots as well. In this article, we are going to rank the droids we have seen in the Star Wars universe.

There are different droids in the Star Wars universe, and each droid has its own specialty, such as some are medical droids, war droids, childcare droids, and biological droids. Surprisingly we can say that the significant amount of Star Wars universe population is made up of these mechanical bots.

Let’s discuss these top 9 best droids of Star Wars universe. (Rankings from Worst to Best )

9. Chroon-Tan B- Machine

This droid is meant for helping women when they are pregnant and at the time of childbirth. It is a very general type of bot used as a mid-wife. Chroon-Tan B-Machine assists women of most species during the childbirth all around in the galaxy. You can remember this thing when you think about how she assisted Senator Amidala during the birth of her twins Luke and Leia. This droid is something that will blow your mind away by the fact that how a machine can learn to work just like a doctor or midwife in the movie.

8. R4-P17

These droids are also known as Arfour and were used by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi at the events of Clone Wars and even before to it. These bots were created by Industrial Automaton, and it safeguards Obi-Wan and his properties from incoming threats with the help of electro-shock prod.

The bot is capable of achieving hyper-speed navigation and determining hyper-speed jumps. However, this bot failed and was destroyed in the Clone Wars by another droid known as buzz droid. This thing was killed in the fight of Coruscant when it was assisting Obi-Wan.

7. Droideka

These droids look like a bug and were used while capturing Naboo in the events of Clone Wars. These robots are useful in the battle and can be named as battle droids. They are quick and can draw an electro shield within a blink of an eye. Their shields are strong enough to withstand light and common firearms but they might get hurt by lightsabers. Droideka battle robots were created by Colioids in the Star Wars universe. And yes, these bots are much smarter and stronger than the B1 battle droids. It is almost impossible to defeat them when they are on the attacking mode. They are loaded with powerful guns and shields to enhance durability in a war.

6. C1- 10P

C1-10P, also known as Chopper is a bot in the TV series named as Star Wars Rebels. It is an astromech used in the Star Wars universe and was produced by Industrial Automaton. The interesting fact about this machine is that it lived much longer than its expiry date and determined living period.

5. IG-88

IG-88 is a savage droid known for killing many people in the Star Wars universe. The Holowan laboratories manufactured the smart robot, and it is loaded with several lethal weapons, which makes it even more ruthless and unbeatable. The aim of this droid was to hunt and kill people, and he was made for killing purposes only. This bot is powerful and popular enough to be considered in the Boba Fett’s category. It is a perfect competition for Boba Fett in the all-over galaxy of the Star Wars universe.

4. K-2S0

This droid is used for security purposes and began his journey in the Alliance when the Captain Cassian Andor reprogrammed him to battle for their side. The bot was destroyed badly in the clash of Scarif. This is the robot that helped Andor and Jyn Erso to steal plans for the Death Star, and this helped them to complete their mission. K-2S0 died in this important and mission, but his help was not wasted as the mission was accomplished only due to this robot.

3. L3-37

This droid is strange and different from other droids in the whole Star Wars universe. L3-37 is a female droid and one of the unique robots in the galaxy. She is capable of upgrading herself by modifying her body parts with parts of other droids. Wherever she met with other droids, she replaces her body parts with the parts of other droids. That is why she is one of the most powerful droids in the universe. Lando Calrissian owns the L3-37 droid in the whole of Star Wars history. The most considerable fact about this droid is it is concerned too much about the right of droids in the galaxy.

2. BB-8

This is one of the most popular and sweet droids in the Star Wars universe. It has a sort of emotion and smartness just like a human. BB-8 is a little shy and easily scared by small threats, but later in the movies, this bot has shown unbelievable feats and bravery. This small football-like, the mechanical robot, has shown willingness to do whatever to complete its mission and to defeat enemies. However, it is not an offensive or aggressive droid at all. It is very much identical to the R2-D2 astromech droid.

This shy robot was first shown in the Start Wars: The Force Awakens movie. In The Force Awakens movie, the purpose of this bot was to deliver a scrap of Luke Skywalker’s location map. The bot received small beating and accidents while succeeding in the mission. Many viewers named it as the cutest droid in the whole galaxy due to its innocent reactions and cute voice.

1. R2-D2

Of course, the R2-D2 deserves the highest place in this article as it is the mainstream droid in the whole Start Wars franchise. The droid belongs to the Naboo planet. The robot belongs from astromech race, and it was controlled by different owners. The journey of this robot started when Queen Amidala was ruling. The drone has shown an extraordinary willingness to his mission and owners. He always remains loyal and obeys his owner and missions.

Star wars is among the most well-acclaimed and world-renowned movie franchises of all time. The American space-based franchise has added nine installments under its name and is set to release another one. Star Wars is not merely a film franchise; the flick has gone on to become an international phenomenon.

Whatever the industry be, Star Wars have already capitalized on it. It may be character figurines, animated series, Blu-rays, video-games, or a live-adaptation series; Star Wars have it all. The original addition to the space saga started way back in 1977, and its most recent installment was released in 2017.

The movie is looked forward globally by the die-hard fans, and the reason is simple, the film will put an end to the sequel trilogy and the Skywalker storyline altogether. Lucasfilm is utilizing what has been their marketing strategy for all these years, and this seems to be working yet again. The hype for the flick is reaching new heights as its release date comes closer.

Disney took a page off of Avengers playbook and held the title unrevealed until April. It was finally revealed at the Celebration Chicago, and the fans loved it. The studio does not intend to stop here as the fans wait and theorize about the December releasing movie.

We recently received a significant release of tie-in products, a cover story containing new images, and a bit of detail as well. However, what the fans really wanted was footage, and we received it recently as well. The final trailer for Rise of Skywalker was released by Lucasfilm recently, along with a brand new poster.

The footage was the longest out of every trailer, but it took the same approach as its predecessor and kept the plot details to a minimum. The video consisted of vague yet intriguing dialogues from the main four characters. It featured some out-of-context shots and scenarios, as well.

The nature of the mission is still unknown alongside the returning villain. The viewers have no idea about Emperor Palpatine’s plan either, and the speculations are rapidly surging. The studio is being reasonably cautious as we only saw the physical appearance of the villain at the end of the trailer.

We cannot hype the movie more than it already has, and the trailer reassured the fans to expect some iconic moments from the upcoming flick. Disney is going full-throttle this year, with Endgame and now wrapping up the Skywalker Saga. The previous solo addition stumbled a bit on the box office; however, we can be confident that it is back in its full form.
