How to Create and Run Batch File in Windows 10 from Devin Smith's blog

  1. Firstly, launch the Start option.

  2. Then, go to folder that has the needed script.
  3. Next, you need to double click on batch file for running it.

Command Prompt

  1. Firstly, tap on the Start option.
  2. Then, find Command Prompt.
  3. Next, do a right-click on the result given at the top.
  4. After that, choose Run as administrator.
  5. Then, write the given order and batch’s title.

  • Next, tap on the Enter button of your keyboard.

Run Scheduled Batch File

  1. Firstly, tap on the Start option.
  2. Then, find the Task Scheduler.
  3. After that, press on the result presented at the top for launching the application.
  4. Next, do a right-click on ‘Task Scheduler Library.’
  5. Then, choose the New Folder.
  6. After that, write the title of the folder. For instance, MyScript.
  7. Next, tap on the OK option.
  8. Then, extend ‘Task Scheduler Library’.
  9. After that, do a right-click on the MyScripts folder.
  10. Next, choose Create Basic Task.
  11. Into the ‘Name’ area, write a brief descriptive name — for instance, SystemInfoBatch.
  12. After that, tap on the Next option.
  13. Next, choose Monthly.
  14. Then, tap on Next.
  15. After that, with the help of ‘Start’ settings, mention the time and date, the task must start running. By the ‘Monthly’ pull-down menu for selecting the month of the year on which you wish running the task.
  16. Then, with the help of the ‘Days’ pull-down menu, you need to mention the days that the task shall be running.
  17. After that, press on Next.
  18. Next, choose the Start a program option for running the batch file.
  19. Into the ‘Program/script area, mention the location of the batch file.
  20. Lastly, press Finish.
