Know what kind of player are you.

There are three kinds of player -power player, all-around around player, and fast player. Each of these kinds has different needs for basketball shoes.

For power players, they want shoes with awesome cushioning. These players pay particular focus in the comfort of their feet since they are more active players; therefore they have more movements compared to others.

All around players prefer shoes with moderate ankle support and cushioning. They also like fairly lightweight shoes. These players are not very meticulous in choosing basketball shoes, as long as they are comfortable with their shoes, and they can move freely on court.

Fast players are very particular in the weight of the shoes. These are fast moving players who wanted to execute moves in a very quick manner; hence they are always searching for lightweight basketball shoes to prevent destructions on their movements. Lower-cut shoes are best for fast players to promote easy mobility.

Find good shoe structure.

Finding shoes with good structures is simple; the difficult thing is finding a shoe structure that is good for you. By understanding the important parts of the shoes or the different shoe structures, you will be able to pick what would be the right one for you.

Mid-tops are for fast players, who are more comfortable in moving without full ankle support. The level of mid-top shoe cut is on the ankle. Mid-top shoes are lighter than high-tops.

Low-top shoe cut is not common for players because it does not offer built-in ankle support. This is just for regular play.

Determine the materials.

Basketball shoes are made up of leather, synthetic leather, or canvas. The natural leather basketball shoes are gone now. The majority of shoes for basketball are made of synthetic leather because it offers durability, flexibility, stability, and breathability. Synthetic leather also has lighter weight compared to shoes made of natural leather.

Check the closure systems.

Closure systems protect will keep the feet secured in times of sudden stops, side-side motions, and quick turns. The common closure systems are laces, straps, Velcro, and zippers. Laces need to be properly secured during play to prevent it from loosening up. Laces are good because these can be easily adjusted, and it offers increase stability.
