Storage Cabinets Vs Garage Cabinets from seomypassion's blog

There are many cabinet systems made today for areas of the home and the garage with choices in color, design, size, and material. Garage systems have been more popular over the past decade due to homeowners making their garages more of a focal point. In the past garages only stored vehicles and boxes of clutter that found their way into the garage. Now, people are using garages as either major storage centers or display rooms showing off their vehicles as well as a finished area. The extent to what you want to turn your garage into is up to the owner, however budget limits can exceed $10,000...it depends on all the bells and whistles you may want to add in.

Garage storage systems are made from several materials, such as MDF (wood composite) with an acrylic coating, metal as well as aluminum. The aluminum cabinets will be the priciest with the wood being the lowest in cost. MDF cabinets will typically be shipped free and are unassembled and come with instructions for assembly. Aluminum cabinets will come with an open back for wall cabinets and are costly when it comes to shipping due to their LTL 300 class rating كراج متنقل

Metal Garage cabinets come assembled less the locking mechanism and leveling legs and will ship fairly affordable with some companies offering free shipping. The load capacities on these cabinets vary but typically you're looking at 150 to 180 lbs per shelving unit. Garage cabinets due to their surroundings nature are slightly less in depth at a typical size of 18"with a standard height of 72"...smaller base cabinets are 30" in height.

Regular Storage Cabinets are similar in strength to their metal garage cabinet counterpart in load capacities per shelf and overall unit capacity. The real advantage they do have is the selection they offer to the consumer. There is a great selection and advantage of storage cabinets in regards to sizes, styles, options and colors.

If the cabinet has to have leveling legs for the uneven surface of the garage, this option exists for storage cabinets...typically $5 per cabinet to add on. Cabinets come with adjustable shelving and fixed shelving options, with shelf capacities being a bit higher with fixed shelving. An example would be for a 36" wide shelf, the fixed shelf is 230 lbs of load where the adjustable is 180 lbs.

Styles of cabinets run from radius edge, clear front, ventilated metal front, and mobile to sliding door storage cabinets. Where garage cabinets have locking and non locking cabinets, storage cabinets are all locking systems with several choices for the keyed entry from handle, recessed puck, push button, to electronic keypads.

Sizes offered are more expansive than garage cabinets that only offer 18" depths and 36" widths. These cabinets will give you a 24" depth option as well as several height and width options. Color options are also more diverse with a full spectrum of colors available opposed to garage cabinets usually only being gray or gun metal in color.
