The security risk for foreign players travelling to Pakistan remains unmanageable according to independent consultants, the international players association FICA has said, after the PCB announced that the 2017 Pakistan Super League final would be held in Lahore. Liberty London sWell Bottle .The league stage and the semi-finals of the PSL, the PCBs T20 tournament along the lines of the IPL and the Big Bash League, is scheduled to be held in the UAE in February and March, with only the finals being played in Pakistan. The consistent advice we have received from independent security consultants over the last few years is that playing cricket in Pakistan for foreign teams and players constitutes an unacceptably high security risk, Tony Irish, the FICA chief executive, told ESPNcricinfo. Although we are sure that PSL and PCB would do their very best to implement security plans, the advice of our consultants is also that this risk is unmanageable in the current environment.FICA has a duty to relay that advice to players and, given that players are participating as individuals in PSL and they are not participating as part of a touring foreign team, it will be up to each individual player to decide whether or not to take that advice.Irish said that FICA would seek an update on the security advice nearer to the tournament. We understand how much people want to see foreign teams and players playing in Pakistan and therefore sympathise with cricket lovers and fans in the country. We hope that normal cricket will return to Pakistan as soon as it is safe to play there.Zimbabwe is the only Full Member nation to have toured Pakistan since March 2009, when gunmen attacked the Sri Lanka team bus as the players were travelling to the Gaddafi Stadium during a Test match. However, there was a suicide attack near the Gaddafi Stadium during that tour as well in 2015, but Zimbabwe stayed on to complete the three-match series. Over the last seven years, Pakistan have hosted their home series at neutral venues, predominantly the UAE. The PSL chairman Najam Sethi had said there was a clause in the PSL player contracts that stated they would need to travel to Lahore if their team made the final. Summarising the nature of the clause, a PSL team official said players would be offered extremely high security and cash incentives if they were willing to go. However, there would also be no repercussions if they did not.Two player agents who manage cricketers from different countries told ESPNcricinfo the clause did not say that travel to Pakistan was mandatory. There is a clause, but several international players have made their participation subject to security advice at the time and they cannot be compelled to go, one agent said.Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene, who were part of the Sri Lankan team that was attacked in Lahore in 2009, are set to play in the PSL, as are Englands Eoin Morgan and Alex Hales, both of whom had pulled out of the ongoing tour of Bangladesh because of security concerns, although they are likely to be on England duty in West Indies when the finals are staged. The Karachi Kings team also announced Sangakkara as captain, and there are several other international players from Australia, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, South Africa, and New Zealand.During the inaugural season of the PSL in February this year, West Indies allrounder Andre Russell was the first international player to hint at a willingness to travel to Pakistan, though he admitted he would be scared too. With inputs from Umar Farooq, ESPNcricinfos Pakistan correspondent Swell Water Bottle Uk Sale . However, Pakistan converted four of their nine 50-plus scores into hundreds, compared to just three for England. In all, only 14 players have ever achieved this double.40.73 Yasirs average in the series, despite two five-fors and a ten-wicket match haul. It is the poorest average for bowlers who have achieved this in a series. Among bowlers who have taken a ten-for in a series, Yasirs average is fourth from the bottom, with Subhash Gupte, Mark Craig and Abdul Qadir having done worse. ' ' '
CLEVELAND -- First-year Memphis Grizzlies head coach David Fizdale admits that?LeBron James was instrumental in his ascension to his position after he served as an assistant coach for the Heat when the Cavaliers superstar played in Miami. Jason Heyward Cubs Jersey .I wouldnt be the coach that I am if I didnt get a chance to coach him and be around him and spend time with him, Fizdale said before the Grizzlies played the Cavs on Tuesday. So a lot of my success I owe to him and that team and that group of guys that we had down there in Miami.Although Fizdale considers James a one-percentile guy when it comes to basketball intelligence, he doesnt anticipate the three-time champion following his career path and one day manning an NBA sideline with whiteboard in hand. No, Fizdale said when asked about a potential future in coaching for James. He would kill somebody. Perfection is like [his standard]. He wants perfection. I could see him actually owning his own team and doing something like that, but I think [as a coach], he would end up killing a player at some point because they wouldnt live up to the expectations that he would set forth.Indeed, James has expressed interest in owning an NBA team, not coaching one, calling it a dream of his this summer. Furthermore, Forbes estimated James net worth to be north of $275 million, which will only grow with his lifetime Nike deal and current $100 million contract with the Cavs, and named him the 39th richest entrepreneur under 40 years old?on Tuesday. As such, grinding through an 82-game schedule as a coach is probably out of the question for James, regardless of his demeanor.Yeah, hes a little right, James said as he smacked his lips and made a knowing face when informed of Fizdales comments following Clevelands 103-86 win. I dont have, my patience is not -- youve got to be very patient as a coach. I dont think I have that much patience. Not that much.Even so, Fizdale believes that as a mentor or a guy that is just going to groom players, I dont know if youll ever find anyone better than [James] and [Dwyane Wade] and Chris Bosh and those guys I was with down there [in Miami]. They were incredible leaders and basketball geniuses, so I was very lucky to be a part of that.James, who reached four NBA Finals and won two championships in the four years he spent with Fizdale in Miami, gave a strong endorsement of his former Heat mentor. He has every quality that would fit a head coach, James said after the Cavs morning shootaround. Hes confident in his ability. A great learner. Great communicator. He can communicate to some of the players, both on the floor and off the floor. So it was great to see him get the nod, and hes proven so far why hes capable of the job.Despite the colorful way he described James lack of patience, something James himself has been self-deprecating about over the years, Fizdale said James coached me more than I coached him.I dont think Ive ever been around a guy like that who sees a game that clearly,?Fizdale said.Fizdale was also complimentary of Cavs coach Tyronn Lue, whom he teamed up with when Lue was a player and he was an assistant coach for the Atlanta Hawks.[The Cavs] got the right man for the job, no doubt about it, Fizdale said, detailing how he watched film of Lue and Jason Kidd to try to emulate their coaching poise during games. T-Lue is as bright as they come. Hes incredible at making adjustments, holding guys accountable, relating. They do -- they have the right guy for this job to coach this team, and LeBron has 100 percent respect for him and confidence in him. So its obvious through the success that they had in winning that title last year. Fergie Jenkins Cubs Jersey . BEIJING -- Chinas highest court has ruled in favor of basketball legend Michael Jordan at the conclusion of a years-long trademark case. The former NBA star has been in dispute with a sportswear company based in southern China called Qiaodan Sports since 2012.He had appealed earlier verdicts by Beijing courts that permitted the company to use his Chinese name Qiaodan, his team number 23 and dunking basketball player logo that Jordan said made it appear that he wass associated with the brand. Jon Lester Jersey. The Supreme Court said Thursday that it was overturning court rulings against Jordan from 2014 and 2015 that found there wasnt sufficient evidence to support Jordans allegations. It also ordered the trademark bureau to issue a new ruling over the use of the Chinese characters in the brand Qiaodan. ' ' '
TALLADEGA, Ala. Trent Williams Youth Jersey . -- About the only change to NASCAR Sprint Cup cars since their last trip to Talladega Superspeedway is the addition of 20 pounds. The addition of the weight, theoretically, could have a small -- very small -- impact on whether a 3,300-pound stock car gets airborne, one of the concerns of drivers as they left the track in May. The changes arent made to keep the cars on the ground but to protect the drivers who hit the wall. The weight is part of a new construction of the footbox area, which includes a new design plus foam and is meant to protect a drivers lower extremities. Kyle Busch missed 11 races when he broke his right leg and left foot in an Xfinity Series accident at Daytona in 2015.The new floorboard chassis requirements go into effect in 2017 for restrictor-plate tracks and 2018 for all tracks. Teams have the option to use it at Talladega this weekend. The four Joe Gibbs Racing cars, the Furniture Row Racing car and the Roush Fenway Racing car of Ricky Stenhouse Jr. are among the cars with the changes. It would make sense that drivers are very aware of whether they have the added protection in their cars for the race Sunday. But at least some drivers mired in Chase cutoff drama didnt know.Carl Edwards appeared puzzled when asked about it after practice Friday. We focused 100 percent on Kansas and then [on the test this week at] Homestead and now Talladega and so, yeah, Im not up to speed on it, Edwards said. I should be.There was one superspeedway race -- I believe it was here -- where I actually ran into a car that was pulling off of pit road and I hit that car so hard and went up in the air that looking at it afterwards, seeing what could have possibly happened with that foot box, Im really excited to have more shielding there.Joey Logano didnt know whether his car had the new components. He does not.I focus on things that I can affect and things that involve me, Logano said. Yes, you can make an argument that involves me quite a bit, but it doesnt have an effect on the way Im going to approach this race ... so I didnt really get in the middle of that.Martin Truex Jr. and Denny Hamlin were aware their cars had the changes. They couldnt tell the difference when driving. Hamlin conceded he only knew because there was some talk about it at the drivers council meeting last week at Kansas. Were focused on doing everything inside the car to go faster, Hamlin said. I didnt notice any difference. ... Hopefully I wont see the difference because I wont be hitting anything on Sunday. That is typical driver talk. They try not to think about the dangers until it, literally, hits them. You cant tell any difference unless you get under there and really look at it, Truex said. Everything is fine from what I can see and obviously the weight is not a big deal here either.Hopefully we wont have to test the safety features of that new panel, but glad to know its in there for sure. The weight is the main concern of teams, who wouldnt even think about using the new construction -- it has to be certified by NASCAR because it is so different from the 2016 chassis -- until NASCAR mandated that all cars at Talladega must have the extra 20 pounds for the cars that are running the 2016 package. Where the weight is located in the footbox area, though, is different from where teams would put the weight in the 2016 chassis. At other tracks where weight distribution is more important, teams cant afford to make the change and be at a competitive disadvantage.Among other safety improvements NASCAR will implement next year: All drivers will have roof hatches in their cars for 2017 restrictor-plate races. And the size of the holes in the restrictor plate will change by 1/64th of an inch. There will also be a change to the steering column so that it wont come back into the drivers lap as forcefully as in recent crashes such as Danica Patricks at Talladega in May.It makes us feel a lot better in the cars to know they go in that direction, said Tony Stewart, whose car does not have the changes. Its a lot of weight theyre adding to the car, but Id rather have safety than weight [savings].Will the weight help cars from getting airborne? Its not going to hurt it, keeping it down for sure, but ... Im fairly certain that they can already pick them up [in the air] with 3,300 pounds; 20 probably isnt going to be a big deal, Stewart said. Trent Williams Womens Jersey . LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Star receiver Alshon Jeffery was suspended Monday for four games without pay for violating the NFLs policy on performance-enhancing substances, the latest staggering blow for the reeling Chicago Bears.Jeffery posted on Twitter that he took a supplement for inflammation containing a substance banned by the league.I take full responsibility and Im deeply upset with myself for not doing the proper research on this supplement, he wrote. I want to apologize to my family, the Bears organization, my teammates, and Bears fans. I will work hard to earn back the respect and trust of the Bears nation and look forward to being back on the field. His suspension was another dose of bad news for a team that lost several players to injuries in an embarrassing 36-10 loss at Tampa Bay that left the Bears with a 2-7 record. Now, they will have to get by without arguably their best player, starting with Sundays game at the New York Giants.Obviously were very disappointed, coach John Fox said. I think hes fairly embarrassed about it, but well support him and welcome him when he gets back after serving his suspension. As if Jefferys punishment wasnt enough, it looks like the Bears will be without star right guard Kyle Long. The NFL Network reported Monday that he will miss the remainder of the season with an ankle injury.Jeffery will be eligible to be activated on Dec. 12 and play against Green Bay six days later. He leads the team with 630 yards receiving and is second with 40 catches. It (stinks) not having your top weapon on offense, tight end Zach Miller said. We have to figure out ways to be better, to do better collectively. But I dont think you really replace Alshon Jeffery that easily. Well have to do it as a group.Jeffery is playing for the $14.6 million franchise tag after he and the Bears were unable to agree to a long-term contract in the offseason. He was limited to nine games because of injuries a year ago, and now has a PED suspension hanging over him with his contract set to expire again.Fox said players found out during meetings on Monday. All teammates, I think, at the end of the day, theyre supportive, Fox said. But I know Alshons embarrassed by it and Im sure disappointed would be a good word for the rest of us.FFox mentioned a silver lining with receiver Marquess Wilson potentially returning soon from a foot injury. Mike Gartner Jersey. He has been on the physically unable to perform list since training camp. But his comeback would be small consolation, particularly given the rash of injuries the Bears suffered against the Buccaneers.Long, a three-time Pro Bowl lineman, left the field on a cart with a right ankle injury. Fox indicated after the game that it might be a high ankle sprain, though he said Monday a full determination on the injury had not been made. Ted Larsen figures to take his place in the lineup, though Eric Kush is a possibility.Fox had no update on running back Jordan Howard (ankle or Achilles tendon), nose tackle Eddie Goldman (ankle) or defensive lineman Will Sutton (ankle). Right tackle Bobby Massie also suffered a concussion. The loss to Tampa Bay also raised more questions about the direction of the franchise and wiped out any good vibes the Bears had after they knocked off NFC North leader Minnesota two weeks earlier.Jay Cutler threw two interceptions and fumbled twice after leading the Bears to a victory over the Vikings in his return from a sprained right thumb. It all added up to a big reality check for a team that was as confident as any with two wins halfway through the season could be.The Bears thought they might turn the corner with key players coming back from injuries. Instead, they crashed.I still feel like were not out of it, Miller said.Mathematically, theyre not.The Bears trail Detroit and Minnesota by three games and Green Bay by two in the division. The Vikings are struggling in a big way with four straight losses. So are the Packers, who have dropped three in a row.But with Jefferys suspension, the Bears will have to get by without one of their biggest playmakers.I guess the best word I could use would be unfortunate, defensive end Akiem Hicks said. Because I look forward to seeing 17 (Jeffery) out there going up deep and catching balls and making plays. Its unfortunate and Im going to miss him.---For more NFL coverage: http://www.pro32.ap.org and http://www.twitter.com/AP-NFL ' ' '

Russell then drove Oteros third pitch to center field for the first World Series grand slam since Paul Konerko connected for the Chicago White Sox in 2005 (Game 2).It was the first grand slam by a Cubs player in the World Series and the first given up by an Indians pitcher.Mickey Mantle was the only player younger than Russell to hit a grand slam in the World Series. The Cubs are looking to become the first team since the 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates to rally from a 3-1 Series deficit by winning the final two games on the road.---8:55 p.m.Cubs right-hander Jake Arrieta is cruising so far.Staked to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, Arrieta has struck out four and allowed just a walk to Francisco Lindor through two innings as Chicago tries to force a Game 7.Arrieta received the best run support of any National League pitcher this season. The ball fell between center fielder Tyler Naquin and right fielder Lonnie Chisenhall when they failed to communicate properly.---6:55 p.m.Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon looks back fondly on the last team to rally from a 3-1 deficit in the World Series to win Games 6 and 7 on the road.Maddon grew up in eastern Pennsylvania but was captivated by the 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates, who stormed back to top the Baltimore Orioles in seven games to win it all.The Pirates rallied around the disco song We Are Family and rode the play of stars Dave Parker and Willie Stargell. They did it in style, too, wearing bright yellow jerseys and striped caps that the Pirates even used as their throwbacks during Sunday home games this season.Maddon said he was never really a Pirates fan, but he loved the uniform. He also remembers the team being tight knit, not unlike this group of Cubs who have reached the Fall Classic for the first time since 1945.---6:30 p.m.Joe Maddon wants the Cleveland Indians to pitch to slugger Kyle Schwarber. The Cubs manager is hoping that bumping Schwarber up to second in the lineup will do the trick.Schwarber hit fifth in Games 1 and 2 in Cleveland as the designated hitter, going 3 for 7 with two RBI in his first major league games since April. He had only one plate appearance in Chicago as a pinch hitter because he hasnt been cleared to play defense following surgery on his left knee.Maddon says that if he let Schwarber hit fifth again, he doesnt think the Indians would pitch to him at all. By putting Schwarber in the second spot, Schwarber has protection because hes hitting in front of Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo and Ben Zobrist.---5:45 p.m.Terry Franconas first two managing jobs in the major leagues were Philadelphia and Boston, cities not exactly known for their hospitality. The Indians manager joked that the next obvious stop would have been Beirut. Francona says there were a lot of times when he thought his name was You suck! because he heard it so often from the Red Sox and Philly faithful during tough times.Instead, Francona ended up in Cleveland, about two hours from where he grew up in western Pennsylvania. Now in his fourth year, Francona says he sees a lot of similarities between the city and the team hes led to the brink of a championship.Francona says the city kind of reminds me of our team a little bit. They got pushed around, now theyre starting to push back, and Im happy for them.---5:25 p.m.Tuesday night isnt the first time Indians manager Terry Francona has been looking for a little bit of magic in Game 6 of a World Series.Francona joked that he once won a stash of cash when Boston Red Sox catcher Carlton Fisk hit his famous home run off the foul pole in the 12th inning of Game 6 in the 1975 World Series to give the Red Sox a 7-6 win over the Cincinnati Reds, forcing Game 7.Francona says that when the ball hit the foul pole, he went bananas. The worker had no idea she was talking to someone famous. She said: `Man, this place is crazy. Who do you want to win? Francona said.He said he looked at her with a straight face and said, Ill go with the Indians.Francona will win his third World Series title if the Indians can finish off the Chicago Cubs. He captured two championships with Boston, helping the Red Sox end an 86-year drought in 2004.---3:55 p.m.Carlos Santana is back at the top of Clevelands lineup. After playing two games in left field and one at first base in Chicago, Santana is batting first as the designated hitter. With the World Series back in Cleveland, the teams are playing under American League rules again.Manager Terry Francona also put Game 3 hero Coco Crisp in left field and moved Tyler Naquin to center, bumping Rajai Davis out of the lineup. Crisps pinch-hit RBI provided the only run in Clevelands 1-0 win in Game 3. Crisps only start of the series came in Game 2 against Chicagos Jake Arrieta, who will take the mound for the Cubs on Tuesday night.Cleveland right fielder Lonnie Chisenhall will bat sixth after dealing with some stomach discomfort before Game 5 on Sunday in Chicago.---3:30 p.m.Kyle Schwarber is batting second for the Chicago Cubs in Game 6 of the World Series.Schwarber injured a knee on April 7, had surgery to repair torn ligaments and was out until the Series opener. He batted fifth as the designated hitter in the first two games against Cleveland. Saturday, kick-off 14:15 GMTTwickenhamEngland are 12 on the bounce but lying in wait this weekend are the Pumas, a team Eddie Jones feels are the second best playing in the Rugby Championship. It is lofty praise for a team that finished fourth in the annual southern hemisphere bonanza but the sentiment is there: underestimate Argentina at your peril.Thoughts of the World Cup draw are at the back of Englands mind with the frequent message from their camp of taking each game as it comes. The Jones era is yet to experience defeat but this weekend Argentina, according to the coach, will offer the sternest test of Englands defence -- one which shipped three tries in 10 minutes to Fiji last weekend. The Pumas are an unpredictable beast but one which is intent on playing expansive, exciting rugby though sometimes to the point of defensive negligence. It is this unpredictability which is worrying England with Jones saying that any game against Argentina is a test of his players manhood. And of added significance to this match from an Argentina perspective is the battle to retain a top eight status in the World Rugby rankings to ensure they dont fall into the third seeds grouping ahead of Mays draw for the 2019 World Cup. For England under Jones, this may be their greatest challenge yet.Team NewsEngland change four for Argentina with George Kruis and Tom Wood returning to the pack and Jonny May and Mike Brown starting in the back three. Teimana Harrison shifts to the bench with Nathan Hughes dropping out due to a foot problem.Argentina make three changes from the side that fell to Scotland. Tomas Cubelli starts alongside Juan Martin Hernandez at half-back while Leonardo Senatore replaces Facundo Isa in the Pumas back-row.England: Mike Brown, Jonny May, Jonathan Joseph, Owen Farrell, Elliot Daly, George Ford, Ben Youngs; Mako Vunipola, Dylan Hartley (captain), Dan Cole, Courtney Lawes, George Kruis, Chris Robshaw, Tom Wood, Billy VunipolaReplacements: Jamie George, Joe Marler, Kyle Sinckler, Charlie Ewels, Teimana Harrison, Danny Care, Ben Teo, Henry SladeArgentina: Joaquin Tuculet, Matias Orlando, Matias Moroni, Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias, Santiago Cordero, Juan Martin Hernandez, Tomas Cubelli; Lucas Noguera, Agustin Creevy (captain), Ramiro Herrara, Guido Petti Pagadizaval, Matias Alemanno, Pablo Matera, Javier Ortega Desio, Leonardo Senatore?Replacements: Julian Montoya, Santiago Garcia Botta, Enrique Pieretto Heilan, Facundo Isa, Tomas Lezana, Martin Landajo, Jeronimo De La Fuente, Juan Pablo Estelles. Quenton Nelson Womens Jersey. Key head-to-headJuan Martin Hernandez is a joy to watch; nicknamed El Mago, he has been crowned Argentinas rugby version of Diego Maradona. He can cover fullback and the centres but starts at fly-half against England on Saturday. He is the only surviving player from the side that defeated England in 2006 but still has all of his wonderful sleights of hand, an unrivalled vision and ability to thrill. His battle with George Ford will be fascinating. Jones feels Ford can surpass Beauden Barrett as the worlds premier fly-half but seeing how he fares against Hernandez will offer an accurate gauge of his progress. One way or another, this match-up will go some way to deciding the winner of Saturdays match.Weather:Those in the stands and on the field will be hopeful of perfect conditions for rugby at Twickenham with temperatures of nine degrees centigrade and a clear sky.Prediction:It should be a thrilling match up at Twickenham with the Pumas stretching Englands defence but Jones side should have enough nous and experience from the bench to extend their winning run with a win by six points. And they kept improving for the 2009 U.S. Open champion. Back in action after nearly a month off, del Potro won twice in a span of about 7 1/2 hours to reach the Citi Open quarterfinals. Del Potro started by winning a rain-postponed match against 107th-ranked American Harrison 6-1, 7-5, then returned to the court under the lights at night to defeat 14th-seeded Bernard Tomic of Australia 6-3, 6-3. Each lasted about 70 minutes. "Really good day," del Potro said, smiling as he leaned back in his chair and stretched out his legs. "The match against Tomic was a little better than the first one." Del Potro, who received a first-round bye, is 11-1 at the hard-court tournament in Washington, where he won titles in 2008 and 2009. The Argentine, No. 7 in the ATP rankings, hadnt competed since July 5, when he was eliminated in five sets by No. 1 Novak Djokovic in 4 hours, 43 minutes, the longest semifinal in Wimbledon history. "I was training hard before coming here," said del Potro, who will face No. 7-seeded Kevin Anderson, also a winner twice Thursday. Anderson eliminated James Duckworth 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, then beat Mardy Fish of the United States 7-6 (2), 6-1. Before that match finished, Fishs withdrawal from next weeks tournament in Montreal was announced; the event said he pulled out for personal reasons. "Its hard for me, right now, to come out and just play every single week," said Fish, who has missed time the past two seasons while dealing with a heart condition. "I still know I have a long ways to go to get back to where Id like to be and where I was, maybe, 12 months ago," he added. The other mens quarterfinals are No. 8 John Isner against No. 16 Marcos Baghdatis, No. 3 Tommy Haas against No. 11 Grigor Dimitrov, and Marinko Matosevic against Dmitry Tursunov. Matosevic beat No. 4 Milos Raonic of Canada 7-5, 7-6 (7); Baghdatis surprised No. 2 Kei Nishikori of Japan 6-1, 6-2; the 35-year-old Haas finished off a second-round match suspended overnight in the third set, then also won Thursdays last match, 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 against No. 13 Ivan Dodig, wrapping it up after midnight. Del Potro said his left knee felt fine; he wasnt wearing any sort of wrap the way he did at the All England Club afterr hyperextending it on a fall during a match. Wholesale Basketball Shoes. "You never know" how the knee will hold up, said del Potros coach, Franco Davin. "For now, its OK." Harrison was ranked inside the top 50 last season and is widely seen as the next top American male player. "He has good potential. He serves well. He plays well on hard courts. But sometimes he looks young," said del Potro, who was a couple of weeks shy of his 21st birthday when he won the U.S. Open. "Hes still 21. He needs to learn a few things to become a better player in the future." Harrison trailed 4-0 after only 11 minutes. Both men hit serves at the considerable speed of 130 mph, but the difference was that once the ball was in play, del Potros groundstrokes were far more consistent. "Sometimes you go out there and for whatever reason, its not feeling as well as you want it to," said Harrison, 0-18 against top-10 players. "The best guys, whenever they see someones off, they just press you, and they just make you feel like youre under duress all the time." After pushing a forehand long to get broken at 3-0, Harrison smashed his equipment, earning a warning from the chair umpire for racket abuse. During a particularly rough stretch from late in the first set to early in the second, Harrison dropped 13 consecutive points, a drought that ended right after he dumped a backhand in the net, looked to the sky and yelled. From there, he played evenly against del Potro, until getting broken in the last game. Del Potro thinks Harrisons histrionics help foes. "Its easier for us, because we ... (see) our opponent really, really low," del Potro said. Three other American men joined Harrison on the way out: No. 6-seeded Sam Querrey, Jack Sock and Tim Smyczek. In womens action, the only seeded player to lose was No. 8 Madison Keys of the United States, who failed to convert two match points and bowed out against Monica Niculescu 6-1, 2-6, 7-6 (6). The womens quarterfinals are No. 1-seeded Angelique Kerber vs. No. 7 Magdalena Rybarikova, No. 3 Ekaterina Makarova vs. Niculescu, No. 4 Alize Cornet vs. Sorana Cirstea, and Andrea Petkovic vs. Paula Ormaechea. The most unusual ending to a match Thursday came when Olga Puchkova of Russia was defaulted by the WTA supervisor after hitting a line judge in the knee with a ball between points. Trailing Ormaechea 3-6, 6-3, 4-1, Puchkova was forced to forfeit even though she said it was an accident. ' ' '
