Antoni's four-out scheme. However, at the age of 32, he should still have plenty of basketball left in him, while Howard's absence would give him the chance to play closer to the rim on Tuesday.  Over at Silver Screen And Roll, SB NBA Live Mobile Coins Nation's Lakers blog, they have more from a fascinating interview with Pau where he questioned his future with the franchise.Over the last few years, the NBA has been moving away from post-centered offense, but the match-up between Lopez and Gasol would be a return to the 90's, featuring two of the only remaining low-post scorers in the league. The Nets are favored by -2.5 points in a 7:30 p.m.

So, of course: He's hosting All-Star Saturday Night from Houston, a night that includes the three-point contest, dunk contest, and probably some other stuff.

Should be fun, right?WRONG. It'd be one thing if we were just adding Nick Cannon to the TNT crew as a commentator, because that could actually be kinda great. But apparently he's replacing Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith as MC for the night, an inexplicable decision that can only end in disaster and way too many stupid pranks with Dwight Howard.Of course, maybe we'll be wrong and Nick will do great. But do we really need celebrity MCs?To the 500,000 unfortunate souls who are hardcore enough to watch All-Star Saturday Night in its entirety, Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith ARE celebrities.

So where does that leave Aldridge? He's the MUT 18 Coins same place he's always been. He's the backbone of the only game in town in Portland, an instantly recognizable person on the streets of Rip City with an understated personality to match his game. The dude is so humble and likable, that when he went off earlier this year and straight buried the Mavericks, he didn't mean mug, he didn't flex. He just laughed.  At Media Day, he was told he was among the best-looking NBA players in a survey of Japanese women. He gave a textbook LaMarcus response.  As if that wasn't enough to make you fall in love with him all over again if you're a

Blazers fan, hoopheads will appreciate the way he's lobbying future free agents to come to Portland this summer: using cap flexibility as bait.    So, while other All-Star reserves may get more attention — and snubs like Stephen Curry get more still — don't mind Aldridge, the All-Star you never see coming, since he's been here all alongIn this Storystream  2013 NBA All-Star Game: How the West won obe over Jordan as best ever: Dan on Fire NBA All-Star Game 2013: LaMarcus Aldridge deserves to be here, even if you don't realize it

When he said before he left for the All-Star Game in his cryptic KG way that we all don't know what he knows, we proved his point by taking that mysterious aside and running wild with it."No, no, no," Garnett said. "I'm just telling y'all that every year you make this is not something you take for granted. That's all I'm saying.

"He was asked a half-dozen ways about those comments that this would be his last All-Star game and each time Garnett kept saying that it was all a big misunderstanding."Listen man, I took the question as if somebody was asking me about the next year and I had no insight to saying that I was going to be a definite All-Star," Garnett said. Smart's been pegged as a combo guard solely because of his MUT 18 Coins size, not any inability to run the point. He rarely gets sped up on  offense, controls the tempo of the game and is always looking to set up  his teammates for easy shots. He plays the game with the confidence and  savvy of a 2-3 year veteran. The contrast between Smart and LeBryan  Nash, a highly-touted sophomore forward still learning to  translate his physical superiority into on-court production, is glaring. Travis  Ford, Oklahoma State's head coach, has given Smart as much offensive  responsibility as anyone in the country.

The Cowboys don't get much  offense from their big men, can't space the floor very well and don't  have many other playmakers on their roster. To be competitive on a  nightly basis, they depend on Smart running the show and knowing when to create shots for his teammates and when to call his own number.  It's a huge burden to place on a freshman PG, particularly when he's  one of six freshmen and sophomores to have a prominent role in the  rotation Given  all that, as well as his prominent place in every opponent's scouting  report, Smart's numbers this season are eye-popping.

He fills up the box  score on a nightly basis, impacting every facet of the game. He's  averaging 14.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 2.9 steals and 0.8  blocks a game on 40/30/78 shooting. The last PG to post those types of  all-around numbers in his freshman season? Jason Kidd at Cal. The only real question for Smart is how high his ceiling is. Unlike Syracuse's Michael Carter-Williams,  there doesn't appear to be anything fundamentally wrong with his  jumper. For Smart, it's more a matter of shot selection and learning the  difference between an open shot and a good shot.

He still settles for  contested jumpers far too often and he's not a very consistent mid-range  shooter. Projecting him down the road, if he can develop a runner and tighten up his ball-handling, he will be practically unstoppable. In  many ways, Smart's growth curve in the NBA could resemble Jrue Holiday,  another super-sized PG thrust into a difficult situation in his only collegiate season. Holiday, at 6'4 and 205, has steadily improved and Cheap madden mobile coins added things to  his game in four years in Philadelphia, finally emerging as an All-Star this season. Guards with that type of size and speed are invaluable in the modern  NBA because they give a team so many line-

During his stint with the Vipers

Jamal Crawford's between-the-legs alley-oop to Blake Griffin? Betting on Rudy Gay's "star power" is madnessDwight Howard offered support by Stan Van Gundy - Few have been willing to step up to defend Dwight Howard as of late, but the Lakers center on Thursday received the surprising support of the man he seemingly helped fire: former Magic coach Stan Van Gundy.Howard told ESPN Los Angeles Friday that Van Gundy reached out to him the previous day after Howard's controversial statement about his former

Howard told Los Angeles' local CBS station Wednesday that his team in Orlando was "a  Buy NBA 2K18 MT team full of people that nobody wanted," but later went on to claim that he only meant it as they all were "underdogs." And it looks as if that retraction was enough to convince Van Gundy because he felt the need to say this to the L.A. Daily did not, in my opinion, mean to say 'I didn't play with good players in

On Monday, we looked at the most cost-effective players in the league. It's a list dominated by youth, with a smattering of veteran free agents from the bargain bin mixed in. When you look at the other end of the cost-effectiveness spectrum, a different type dominates: the veteran scoring star.Ignoring players who have missed the whole season -- and those are the truly least cost-effective players -- a pattern emerges. Of course, by losing another conference MUT 18 Coins game, Milwaukee has turned the secondary tiebreaker (conference record) into a scarcely beneficial tool as it is.The Celtics are the only team close enough to matter that has lost the head-to-head tiebreaker against Milwaukee, which means they should become the center of attention for scoreboard watching. The Bucks will (likely) need an extra win over the

Hawks or Bulls to pull ahead of them in seeding, and that is becoming less likely by the day just because time is running out to make up ground.Milwaukee currently trails Boston and Chicago by two games in the standings. They are on course for a first-round meeting with LeBron James and the Miami Heat, which is why Bucks fans have turned their focus to escaping the eighth seed.
