MALIBU, Calif. Curtis Martin Jersey . -- Lamond Murray scored 28 points and Pepperdine survived a scare against Life Pacific, winning 85-79 on Thursday night. The Waves (3-0) led by 15 points with 8:34 remaining when the Warriors, a National Christian College Athletic Association team, rallied to tie it at 79-all on Trent Rowsers basket with 1:40 left.Pepperdines Amadi Udenyi made two free throws with a minute to go, a 3-point try by Rowser rimmed out and Murray scored for the Waves for an 83-79 lead. Murray then blocked two shots and Udenyi finished the scoring with two more free throws with 18 seconds to go.Udenyi scored a career-high 17 points and Chris Reyes (13 points, 10 rebounds) and Craig LeCesne (10 points, 11 rebounds) had double-doubles.Ramez Michail scored 22 points before fouling out with 3:55 to go for Life Pacific, which counted the game as an exhibition. The Warriors made 11 3-pointers. Custom New York Jets Jerseys .ca looks back at the stories and moments that made the year memorable. New York Jets Jerseys . Im just hoping over the next 12 months shell start to hold it a bit better.Among the other Hardy-owned horses in Crocketts stable are Artistic Beautys half-siblings Nictock, a three-year-old gelding by Nicconi, and an unnamed two-year-old Snippetson filly. He said those two have a more fluent action than their sister, while 10-year-old Letchworth is the elder statesman of the Hardy-Crockett partnership. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From ChinaCheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
PITTSBURGH -- The giddiness faded quickly. Asics Gel Lyte Evo Nt Grey . Call it a byproduct of simple math. For all the euphoria that ensued after Pittsburgh kicker Chris Blewitts 48-yard field goal lifted the Panthers to a last-minute stunner against No. 2 Clemson last week, in the standings it counts the same as any other victory. It was a sweet moment to be sure, but it was just one. The Panthers (6-4, 3-3 ACC) understand it wont mean much if they cant back it up on Saturday against improving Duke (4-6, 1-5).This Duke win, if we are capable of going down (to Clemson) and getting it done and coming to Heinz Field and getting it done it will be just as big, Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi said. Other people might not think it, but theyre a good football team and every win is a major win.The Panthers arent the only one coming off an emotional high. The Blue Devils rebounded from three narrow losses by a combined 16 points to edge rival North Carolina 28-27 , putting a severe crimp into the Tar Heels hopes of winning the ACC Coastal Division. It also kept alive their hopes of getting to six wins and securing a fifth straight bowl berth. It will take victories over the Panthers and Miami to get there without holding out hope theres not enough six-win teams to go around and the Blue Devils can get in thanks to their academic success. No offense, but its not the path coach David Cutcliffe would prefer to go.You want to play your way in and take doubt out of it, Cutcliffe said.Bowl eligibility is already out of the way for Pitt thanks to what Narduzzi hopes is a program-shifting moment. The quality of the Panthers destination is the only thing in question now. Beating Duke on Saturday and Syracuse next week would certainly make Pitts impressive resume -- wins over Clemson and Penn State and down-to-the-wire losses to Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech and North Carolina -- plenty attractive.First things first though. The Panthers dropped their final two games of 2015, turning a special season into simply a promising one.One of goals was to finish season a lot better than we did last year, quarterback Nate Peterman said. Were going to focus these last two games and not let anything slip by. Every game is worth a lot. Some things to look for as Duke tries for a little payback after the Panthers rolled by them 31-13 last fall.SHAUN IS ON: Duke RB Shaun Wilson is making the most of his opportunity to start. Wilson has 292 yards rushing in his last three games, including 100-yard outings against Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech, and has run for a touchdown in each game. The speedster who set the schools single-game record two years ago with 245 yards rushing against Kansas has been the featured back since starter and leading rusher Jela Duncan was lost for the season after rupturing his Achilles tendon three weeks ago in the Georgia Tech loss.JAMES BEING JAMES: Nearly 12 months removed from a cancer diagnosis that threatened to derail his career, Pitt running back James Conner is thriving. Hes scored seven touchdowns over the last four games, including a highlight-reel 20-yard sprint against Clemson that put the Panthers within range to win it late. The best way to minimize the damage is to get more than one person to the ball, Cutcliffe said. When he gets rolling and he feels it, it gets increasingly harder to (stop him).RUNNING DEVILS: Wilsons success has made Dukes ground game that much more effective. The Blue Devils have rushed for at least 225 yards in each of their last three games after cracking the 200-yard mark in their first six games against FBS opponents. It helps that Daniel Jones has emerged as a threat to run, with the QB averaging 89 yards rushing during his last three games.PETERMANS PROGRESS: Pitt senior quarterback Nate Peterman began the season as a game manager. Hes become a difference maker in offensive coordinator Matt Canadas increasingly diverse offense. Peterman threw for a career-high five touchdowns against Clemson and his deft ball distribution is one of the main reasons the Panthers are averaging 37.6 points per game, third in the ACC.---AP Sports Writer Joedy McCreary in Raleigh, North Carolina, contributed to this report.---AP College Football site: Asics Kayano 20 Ireland . -- Jimmy Walkers first PGA Tour trophy came with a special gift tucked inside. Asics Runners Ireland . -- Jacksonville wide receiver Cecil Shorts will likely be a game-time decision whether hell play Sunday in the Jaguars home game against the San Diego Chargers. . ATLANTA -- This was merely an annoyance for Alabama, a chance to add another trophy to its overflowing cases. Gary Payton Jersey . The Crimson Tide did just enough things wrong to give Nick Saban something to complain about over the next month, but in the end it was another dominating victory for the nations top-ranked team.Florida coach Jim McElwain was certainly impressed after his No. 15 Gators lost 54-16 in the Southeastern Conference championship game Saturday. He called it Sabans best team yet in a dynasty that shows no signs of stumbling.I dont see a lot of weaknesses, marveled McElwain, Sabans offensive coordinator from 2008-11. Theyve really accumulated a lot of speed at some spots where they were always big.Alabama (13-0) unleashed all its weapons against the overmatched Gators, scoring off an interception and a blocked punt in the first half, snuffing out their last gasp with a goal-line stand, and wearing down Florida at the end with a dominant running game. The Tide now heads to the College Football Playoff for the third year in a row, most likely returning to Atlanta for a semifinal game on Dec. 31. Alabama will be seeking its second straight national title and its fifth crown in the last nine years. Saban already has five national titles, counting his first at LSU, and is one shy of Bear Bryants record for the most by any coach.Challenging his players, Saban said they have a chance to do something to create a legacy for this team. Thats something they should think about, how important that is, what they are willing to do to do it. Because all the teams you play from here on out are really, really good. The Crimson Tide bolted to a 16-9 lead in the first quarter, despite being held to minus-7 yards and no first downs. Minkah Fitzpatrick returned an interception 44 yards for a touchdown, and Josh Jacobs went 27 yards for a score with a blocked punt. A field goal was set up by another pick -- one of three thrown by Florida quarterback Austin Appleby in the first half. The Tide led 33-16 at halftime and iced the victory with scoring drives of 98 and 91 yards, sparked by a goal-line stand that finished off the last gasp by the Gators (8-4). It was most points surrendered by Florida since a 62-24 loss to Nebraska in the 1996 Fiesta Bowl. The Gators marched the length of the field on their opening possession, the first touchdown given up by the Tide in more than 17 quarters. They had another long TD drive near the end of the first half to give themselves a glimmer of hope.It wasnt perfect, said Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster, who was named the games MVP. We had to persevere, overcome some hard times. The last of those hard times came when Florida drove to the Crimson Tide 1 in the third quarter. Jordan Scarlett attempted to leap over the line on third-and-goal, but he never got off the ground. Rashaan Evans, who took over after Shaun Dion Hamilton went out with a likely season-ending knee injury, blew by his blocker and slammed the running back for a 1-yard loss.Appleby then threw incomplete in the back of the end zone on fourth down, giving the Tide all the momentum.Alabama finished with 174 yards rushing in the second half. The bulk of the carries went to bruising sophomore Bo Scarbrough, who had two short touchdown runs and finished with 91 yards on 11 carries. We just wanted to do what we do best, and thats run the ball, Scarbrough said.BLOCK PARTYDuring a wild sequence in the first quarter, each team scored off blocked kicks on back-to-back plays.Jacobs TD came after Derrick Gore blocked a punt, giving Alabama a 16-7 lead. But when Adam Griffiths extra-point attempt was swatted down by Jabari Zuniga, David Reese scooped up the ball and went the length of the field to give the Gators a 2-point conversion.POLL IMPLICATIONSAlabama will remain No. 1 in The Associated Press poll, as well as the College Football Playoff rankings. Florida can expect to drop at least four or five spots.UP NEXTAlabama: Projected to meet the No. 4-ranked CFP team in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.Florida: Two straight losses probably cost the Gators a shot at the Sugar Bowl. More likely, they will settle for either the Dec. 31 Citrus Bowl or the Jan. 2 Outback Bowl. Doug McDermott Jersey .C. -- Rodney Hood connected from all over the court while freshman Jabari Parker was busy swatting shots and scoring in transition. Steven Adams Jersey . Duchene scored two goals and had an assist, helping the Colorado Avalanche beat the Carolina Hurricanes 4-2 on Friday night to match the best 10-game start in team history. TORONTO -- With the United States facing elimination against Canada at the World Cup of Hockey, coach John Tortorella chose to scratch two players hes very familiar with for the sake of what he hopes is the best lineup.Center Brandon Dubinsky and defenseman Jack Johnson will be scratched for the Americans must-win game against Canada on Tuesday night. Tortorella coaches those players in the NHL with the Columbus Blue Jackets and knows Dubinsky well from their time together with the New York Rangers.Winger Kyle Palmieri and defenseman Dustin Byfuglien replace Dubinsky and Johnson in the lineup after being out for the tournament-opening 3-0 loss to Team Europe. Jonathan Quick is expected to start in goal, with Ben Bishop backing up and Cory Schneider scratched. It kills me to take (Dubinsky) out because of how he competes, Tortorella said Tuesday morning. Its tough to scratch Jack Johnson, too. Its tough to scratch Cory Schneider. This is a really big game for USA Hockey, and to tell a couple guys, three guys, theyre not playing, that was hard. The United States must defeat Canada to remain alive in the tournament.Tortorella said the coaching staff agonized over the lineup decisions and combinations. Ultimately the group decided it wanted Palmieri, a 30-goal scorer, and Byfuglien, a big, physical force with a heavy shot, on the ice and on the power play.We hope (Byfuglien) scores a power-play goal, Tortorella said. He obviously was disappointed he didnt play the first game. I think hes really going to try to make a difference tonight. He needs to stay disciplined but also not test the waters and make a difference here.Dubinskys absence is a curious one given his experience shadowing Canadian captain Sidney Crosby throughout their careeers. Detlef Schrempf Jersey. That job could now fall to David Backes or Ryan Kesler, who wants this to be as edgy a game as possible.Hopefully (the referees) let us play tonight, Kesler said. The U.S. needs to balance playing physical and finishing chances to score. Palmieri, an injury replacement for another Tortorella favorite, Ryan Callahan, is better at putting the puck in the net than putting an opponent into the glass.Palmieri doesnt mind being asked to do both.I think our team needs a little spark and hopefully I can go in there tonight and provide that, whether that be a goal and maybe a big hit, just a big play to get our team going tonight and get ourselves into it and just go from there, Palmieri said.Asked Sunday would it would mean to be in the lineup against Canada, Byfuglien said, Its everything.Getting Palmieri and Byfuglien in seemed like a no-brainer after the U.S. lacked quality scoring chances against Europe on Saturday. Choosing to sit two Blue Jackets players who have long histories with USA Hockey stood out, but Tortorella said that wasnt part of the consideration. No, I cant bring that into the process here, Tortorella said. Thats unfair. We have our 23 guys no matter whos coaching them. Its just for this team, this game, and we made the decision to go this way.Carey Price starts in goal for Canada, with Corey Crawford backing up and Braden Holtby scratched. Canada is expected to stick with the same lineup it used in a 6-0 rout of the Czech Republic on Saturday, which means forward Claude Giroux and defenseman Jake Muzzin out.---Follow Stephen Whyno on Twitter at . Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
Disciplinary chiefs have admitted Malakai Fekitoa should not have been on the field to score the winning try in New Zealands 21-9 victory over Ireland. Adidas Tubular x Primeknit .All Blacks centre Fekitoa has been suspended for one week for his high tackle on Simon Zebo that only drew a yellow card in Saturdays feisty Dublin clash.Referee Jaco Peyper merely sin-binned Fekitoa in a controversial match that later drew 12 citing referrals, 11 pertaining to All Blacks players.Fekitoa scored two of New Zealands tries, but avoided a red card that disciplinary bosses have now conceded should have been issued. The disciplinary committee found that Fekitoas actions would have warranted a red card, albeit that he had acted recklessly rather than intentionally, read a statement from the autumn international disciplinary authorities.New Zealand flanker Sam Cane was also up before a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday, for the high tackle that left Robbie Henshaw unconscious but was only punished by a penalty on Saturday night.Team manager Mick Kearney admitted on Monday that Ireland were disappointed with the officiating fall-out.Governing body World Rugby issued a stark warning before the November Tests that any dangerous or head-high tackles would be punished harshly.Players were warned that red cards could be issued, but New Zealand managed to avoid such censure in their three-try win in Dublin at the weekend.Tuesdays admission that Fekitoa should have been sent off must act as a source of embarrassment for the games law makers, and raises further questions about the standard of officiating in Dublin.Fekitoa will now miss New Zealands final autumn Test, the clash with France in Paris on Saturday. When considering sanction, the disciplinary committee concluded that the offending merited a low-end entry point based on World Rugbys scale of seriousness, which carries a two-week playing suspension, continued the statement on Fekitoa. The disciplinary committee further found that there were no aggravating factors and that there were a number of mitigating factors; including Mr Fekitoas immediate acknowledgement of wrongdoing, his previous clean disciplinary record and his good conduct at the hearing. And as such his playing suspension should be reduced to one week.Fekitoa is therefore suspended from playing rugby for a total of one week, up to and including Sunday 27 November 2016. Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 España .J. -- New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz will miss the rest of the season after having surgery on his left knee. Adidas NMD XR1 Baratas . Pierce was ejected in the third quarter of Indianas 103-86 win Monday. George Hill stole a bad pass and was going in for a layup, and Pierce hustled back and appeared to be trying to wrap him up. . He was followed closely by David Clarkson, donning red, seconds later. Clarksons actions one night earlier, leaping off the bench in defence of Kessel during a pre-season game against the Buffalo Sabres, will cost him the first 10 games of the regular season. There are some years when we just kind of ease into the college football season. For whatever reason, there are times when it seems like it takes several weeks to get any kind of momentum and buzz going. Folks, this aint one of those years. On Thursday night Tennessee opened the most anticipated season in almost a decade at home against Appalachian State. Also on Thursday Vanderbilt and South Carolina played a conference game in Nashville. On Saturday we are jumping into the deep end of the pool with a bunch of non-conference games that have the entire country buzzing.Welcome back, SEC Football. We have really missed you. Here are some fun story lines to watch now that the first weekend is finally here:A BIG NIGHT FOR THE HEAD BALL COACHEarlier this summer the University of Florida asked their favorite son to come home. So Steve Spurrier, the 1966 Heisman Trophy winner, and the coach who led the Gators to six SEC championships and a national championship, accepted an offer to become an ambassador for Florida athletics. I visited his office in the UF athletic department building on Aug. 19.Its great to be back, said Spurrier, who stepped down as South Carolinas coach in the middle of last season. Were going to have fun.No doubt. That fun will start during Saturday nights home opener with UMass. The school will officially name the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium after Spurrier. Then Spurrier will be an honorary Mr. Two Bits cheerleader, which is reserved for distinguished alumni. There will also a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Spurriers Heisman Trophy. We are thrilled to have Coach Spurrier back home, said Jeremy Foley, Floridas director of athletics.NEW COACHES AT GEORGIA, SOUTH CAROLINA, MISSOURIThree coaches in the SEC East are making their debuts during this long holiday weekend:**--Will Muschamp spent four years (2011-14) as Floridas head coach and then spent last season as Auburns defensive coordinator. Muschamp, a Georgia graduate, did not hesitate when he was offered the job of replacing Steve Spurrier at South Carolina.Coach Spurrier proved what could be done here, Muschamp said. Its just a matter of convincing enough young men to share our vision.Muschamp made his first appearance as the new Gamecocks coach against Vanderbilt on Thursday night, where his team defeated the Commodores in a comeback 13-10 win.**--After serving with Alabamas Nick Saban for the past 11 years, Kirby Smart takes over at Georgia, where he was an All-SEC defensive back in the mid-1990s. Mark Richt, Georgias previous coach, averaged 9.6 wins over 15 years as the head Bulldog. So needless to say there are very high expectations for Smart, beginning with Saturday nights opener with North Carolina at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. We have everything we need at Georgia to be successful, Smart told me in our last meeting. There are no excuses.**--Barry Odom is a former linebacker at Missouri who coached at his alma before leaving home and spending some time at Memphis. Now Odom has the task of replacing the most successful coach in school history. Gary Pinkel retired after 15 seasons for health reasons. The Tigers won back-to-back SEC East championships under Pinkel in 2013 and 2014 before dipping to 5-7 last season. Odom gets to make his debut in Morgantown, W.Va., as Mizzoui takes on West Virginia of the Big 12.I have trained to be in this chair and Im excited about it, said Odom.Odom hired former Oklahoma quarterback Josh Heupel to fix an offense that was woefully bad last season. The Tigers were dead last in the SEC, averaging 280.9 yards per game.WHAT ARE THE ODDS?A year ago Dave Aranda was the coordinator of the No. 2 defense in the country at Wisconsin. LSU needed a new defensive coordinator because Kevin Steele left for Auburn. LSU coach LLes Miles had previously interviewed Aranda and decided to take another run at hiring him. Adidas Stan Smith Hombre Rebajas. Aranda said yes and hit the ground running, installing a new 3-4 defense to better take advantage of LSUs athleticism.Arandas first assignment as an LSU coach? That would be Wisconsin at Green Bays Lambeau Field. Dave Aranda brings a different style, a different energy to what we are going defensively, Miles told me when we met in his office. Were excited about having him here.A year ago Noel Mazzone was the offensive coordinator at UCLA, where he tutored a bright young freshman quarterback, Josh Rosen. Rosen threw for 3,669 yards and 30 touchdowns. Coaching that guy for at least two more years would keep a lot of offensive coordinators in place. But Mazzone left Westwood, where he had a home on the beach, to become the offensive coordinator at Texas A&M, which had seen two highly-rated quarterbacks walk out the door in December. And what is Mazzones first game as the Aggies new OC? That would be the same UCLA Bruins and Josh Rosen in College Station. The world is small, said Mazzone. The football world is a lot smaller.TAKE BAMA IN THE OPENERSAlabama, the defending national champions, is a solid favorite to beat USC when the two teams meet Saturday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex.In fact, the last time we saw Alabama in Jerry Joness Cowboy ball park the Crimson Tide was taking Michigan State to the woodshed (38-0) in the semifinals of the College Football Playoffs.Alabama has not been bashful about playing tough opening games since Nick Saban became head coach in 2007. The Crimson Tide opened last season in Arlington against Wisconsin, winning 35-17. Sabans teams have also played neutral site openers against Clemson, Virginia Tech, Michigan, and West Virginia. The Crimson Tide won them all.Alabama is 9-0 in opening games under Saban. In fact, Alabama has not lost a season opener since it fell at home to UCLA 20-17 in Dennis Franchiones first game as head coach in 2001. Thats 14 straight season opening wins for the Crimson Tide.A FEW OTHER TIDBITS**--Kentucky really, really, really needs a win over Southern Mississippi. The Wildcats really struggled on defense last year and couldnt get pressure on the quarterback. That is not good news against Southern Miss quarterback Nick Mullens, the reigning Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year, who threw for 4,476 yards last season. One historical note: Back in the day, Southern Miss could routinely give SEC opponents fits. But the Golden Eagles have now lost 13 straight to SEC teams. If Kentucky is going to reach its stated goal of making a bowl game, this is a game the Wildcats need to win.**--Its not often when a quarterback takes over for his brother, but that is what Austin Allen will do when Arkansas hosts Louisiana Tech. Brandon Allen had one of the best seasons ever by an Arkansas quarterback last season, throwing for 3,440 yards and 30 touchdowns.**--Mississippi State will play its first game in four years with quarterback Dak Prescott when the Bulldogs host South Alabama. Both Nick Fitzgerald and Damian Williams are expected to play quarterback in the game.**--Georgia and North Carolina will meet for the first time in 45 years at the Chick-fil-A Kickoff in Atlanta. When the two teams met in the 1971 Gator Bowl they were coach by brothers Vince (Georgia) and Bill (North Carolina) Dooley. The brothers were scheduled to be the honorary captains for this game but Bill Dooley passed away suddenly on Aug. 9. He was 82.Vince Dooley will still serve as Georgias honorary captain. Bill Dooley will be represented by two of his sons, Ashton and Sean. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
MOUNT TREBEVIC, Bosnia-Herzegovina -- Sports enthusiasts and former athletes in Bosnia have taken it upon themselves to reclaim some of the glory Sarajevo savored as host of the 1984 Olympics -- and in the process rekindled the flame of international cooperation. Scarpe Puma Suede Uomo .Since the country lacks the resources to rebuild the Olympic facilities that were destroyed in the deadly war that followed the breakup of Yugoslavia, volunteers bought tools, rolled up their sleeves and got to work.At first, they planned to restore the bobsled and luge track on Mount Trebevic just so it could be used by the Bosnian national team for summer training. But the previously abandoned facility became a draw for athletes from throughout Europe. We bought some tools with our own money and started cleaning the track from vegetation, debris and mud, Senad Omanovic, the head of Bosnias Bobsleigh Federation, recalled. We had trees growing out of the track. The 1992-95 Bosnian war was the most brutal conflict on European soil since World War II. It took over 100,000 lives and turned more than half the population into refugees. It also trashed the decade-old Olympic facilities on the mountains around Sarajevo, venues residents once proudly looked up to from downtown as symbols of one of the citys most glorious moments. During the war, Sarajevans hid from the artillery and snipers Bosnian Serbs had placed on the Dinaric Alps.War turned the bobsled and luge track on Mount Trebevic, overlooking Sarajevo, into a concrete skeleton that eventually became covered with graffiti and trash. Little remains of the ski-jump facilities on Mount Igman, another site of fierce fighting. The mens downhill courses on Bjelasnica were resurrected as the citys main ski resort, but only after the land mines around them were cleared. It took Omanovic and his teammates years to clean the bob- and luge track where in 1984 teams from the German Democratic Republic took the gold and silver medals. They could only approach the Trebevic track after mine-removal experts cleared its entire length. As word spread through Eastern Europe that the Olympic track had been fixed up, teams in other countries approached Omanovic to ask about practicing there. The first was from Slovakia.Omanovic recalled frankly telling the Slovaks the facility lacked locker rooms, timing sensors and even toilets. They insisted the Sarajevo track, despite its rough history and condition, was among the best of the nine tracks available around the world for summer training.Tackling the course on wheeled equipment, racers can achieve speeds of 130 kilometers (81 miles) per hour. After Slovakia, teams from Poland, Turkey, Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia followed. So this became a regional training center, said Omanovic, who now hopes the track will one day achieve its old glory.Jacob Simonek, a member of the Slovakian team that has practiced in Sarajevo six times now, said the track was a bit bumpy but good despite its age and battle scars. On the other end of town, the ski-jump facilities on Mount Igman still stand as sad relics of war.Selver Merdanovic, a former ski jumper for Bosnia, has started working to revive the two small jumps so the 15 children from his club team can practice there. Rebuilding the high jumps, an expensive endeavor, remains a distance dream.Im trying to return this sport to Bosnia, Merdanovic said. I wish this to be my legacy.---Aida Cerkez in Sarajevo contributed to this story. 2018 Puma Basket Heart . There are some early surprises in the race for the Hart Trophy, but two of the contenders are the leagues biggest stars over the past decade. There are many more players in contention for the awards than just the three that Ive named, and a good or bad week can easily alter the landscape, but through the first 20 or so games of the NHL season, this is how the awards races look to me. Puma Suede Uomo . BARCELONA, Spain -- Lionel Messi scored a hat trick and Neymar excelled as a playmaker to lead Barcelona to a record-setting 7-0 win over Celtic in their Champions League opener on Tuesday.Celtic failed to convert a first-half penalty and level the score at 1-1 in a miserable night for the Scottish visitors.Neymar set up Messi to score twice in the first half hour at Camp Nou before the Brazil striker struck from a free kick just after halftime.Neymar kept pouring it on, crossing for substitute Andres Iniesta to fire in a vicious volley.Messi took his career tally to 86 goals in Europes top-tier competition before Luis Suarez rounded off the rout with a pair of goals. It didnt matter who we had in front us, I remember a beauty and precision that was of another class. Against that, rivals can do very little, Barcelona coach Luis Enrique said. It was a great way to make our entrance to the competition (this season). The 7-0 victory surpassed Barcelonas biggest win in the Champions League to date, a 7-1 defeat of Bayer Leverkusen in 2012.Luis Enrique credited Messis deft movement across the front of the attack, and his dips into Barcelonas midfield where he acts as a facilitator, as key to unlocking Celtic.Leo Messi plays at every position, he has freedom to do so because he is the best in the world at any position he plays, Luis Enrique said. Thats total football. We wouldnt be very smart to put limits on him. Thats why he is the best of all time. Not just because of his numbers, but for his vision of the game.Long gone was the firepower Brendan Rodgers team displayed in Celtics 5-1 rout of fierce rival Rangers on Saturday in the Scottish Premiership.Instead, Barcelona improved on the 6-1 win over Celtic from their last meeting in 2013.There can be no embarrassment because they do that to better teams than ourselves, (but) its obviously a disappointment, Rodgers said. Puma Suede Saldi. To lose by so many goals is tough to take.It was the first joint-start this season for Messi and Neymar, after Neymar missed Barcelonas first four matches helping his country win the Olympic gold medal. The two stars, who played in the last half hour of Saturdays stunning 2-1 Spanish league loss to Alaves, needed just three minutes to link up and put Barcelona in charge.Neymar used a clever, no-look pass to play Messi clear on the left side of the area. Messi did the rest by sizing up Dorus de Vries before blasting a left-footed shot past the Celtic `keeper. It got even better from there. The second goal was a brilliant piece of shared playmaking that undid Celtic completely, as the ball flowed from Messi to Neymar and back again for him to nudge over the line in the 27th.The ball moves like its on an ice rink, and they move as fast as that, Rodgers said. (Barcelona) is the worlds best at keeping the ball.Three minutes earlier, Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen made up for his foul in the area on Moussa Dembele by blocking Dembeles penalty kick and denying Celtic its only scoring chance.Goal No. 3 came in the 50th when Neymar curled a free kick over the wall. De Vries got a hand on the ball but not enough to keep it out.Iniesta blasted his volley home in the 59th, seconds before Messi slid to tap in Luis Suarezs pass.Suarez added his own flourish to the demolition when he took Neymars lob on the chest, before swiveling and beating De Vries with a left-footed strike in the 75th.Suarez got his second from a low cross from Messi.Five-time champion Barcelona extended its winning streak at home in European competition to 12 straight matches. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

A voice vote in the City Council gave the team permission to move forward with plans that will dramatically change the ballpark experience on Chicagos north side. The most notable alteration is the 5,700-square-foot video scoreboard in left field -- roughly three times the size of the iconic manual one in centre, which will remain in operation as well. The team also will be able to erect a large advertising sign in right field, double the size of the cramped clubhouse, improve player training facilities in the bowels of the ballpark and build a 175-room hotel across the street. Some fans say the upgrades are almost as overdue as a Cubs World Series championship (which last happened in 1908 -- eight years before the team moved into Wrigley). "Why would you not want any of the improvements that have come over the last 60-70 years?" asked Dutchie Caray, the widow of the famed announcer Harry Caray, whose leading the fans in Take Me Out To The Ball Game helped turn Wrigley into the huge attraction it is today. "Would you ask someone not to have television because they didnt have television in the old days (or) want to travel by horse and buggy to the West Coast?" Besides, she said of the Jumbotron, "I kind of like the idea of being able to see where a guy (umpire) blew a call." Collectively, the changes -- some of which could be completed as early as next season -- represent the most dramatic additions since at least 1988, when the Cubs became the last team in the majors to install lights. That change sparked a battle even more fierce than the one over the Jumbotron. In the decades since Wrigley became the Cubs home, the park has not always aged gracefully; the team once even installed nets to catch concrete falling from the upper deck. Although Wednesdays action was the last step in the long approval process, still unresolved is a dispute between the team and owners of the famous rooftops overlooking the field. The teams owner said Wednesday that the threat of a lawsuit could potentially delay the upgrade. Barring that, though, the councils approval Wednesday was the final chapter in a decades-old tug-of-war between the team and its neighbours. During public hearings, some fans urged the city to let the Cubs modernize Wrigley, while others argued the charm of going to the ballpark would be lost. "They had to modeernize, for the team and for the comfort of the fans" said Clay Goss, a 53-yeaer-old trader after he was told of the deal Wednesday afternoon. Saucony Shadow España. "Baseball is having a hard time getting younger fans and keeping them, and (while) Im not a fan of the Jumbotron, kids like it." After the Ricketts family bought the team in 2009, it made the argument that the ballpark needed to change. Although the Ricketts defended the brick-and-ivy walls and manual scoreboard, they said they were running a business and not a museum. Initially, the team wanted public help to pay for the project, but that effort failed. Then the team said it would pay for the entire project. But, team officials said, if they were going to do that, they needed the city to allow it to erect the Jumbotron and other revenue-generating signs that would help pay for the project. Ricketts tried to convince fans that making the renovations would help the Cubs contend again. They havent been to the World Series since 1945, the year of the infamous billy goat curse that some superstitious fans still blame for the drought. The signs became the most contentious part of the proposed renovation project, both because they would change the look of the ballpark and because they were seen as threats to the rooftop businesses across the street. The owners, who charge fans to sit on bleachers they erected on top of the buildings, argue that any sign cutting into their views threatens the existence of their businesses. Tom Tunney, the alderman whose ward includes Wrigley, said he finally agreed to support the project Tuesday after the Cubs agreed not to put up any more outfield signs for the 10 years left on a contract that calls for the rooftop owners to pay a chunk of their revenue to the team. But after the vote, team chairman Tom Ricketts issued a statement that made it clear the dispute between the Cubs and the rooftop owners isnt over. He even raised questions about when the Cubs would begin what is expected to be a five-year construction project. "We look forward to beginning construction on our $500 million plan, but before we do, we must resolve once and for all the threat of litigation and the enforcement of existing rooftop ordinances and long term certainty over control of our outfield," Ricketts said. The Wrigleyville Rooftops Association declined to comment about Ricketts statement. But rooftop owner Max Waisvisz all but promised the Cubs will find themselves in court if what they build hurts his view and his business. "What they need is a little lawsuit," Waisvisz said. "Thats the only thing these guys listen to." Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
Florida defensive coordinator Geoff Collins has been named the new head coach at Temple, the school announced Tuesday. UGG Classic Tall 5815 .Collins replaces Matt Rhule, who was hired at Baylor after four seasons with the Owls.We will compete for championships, we will provide a world-class student-athlete experience and education, and we will represent the community with pride, said Collins, who has been a defensive coordinator for the past seven seasons combined at Florida (2015-16), Mississippi State (2011-14) and Florida International (2010).Collins, 45, had just completed the second year of a three-year deal with the Gators. He will be the Owls fourth coach in eight seasons, and all had no previous head-coaching experience before taking the job. Before Rhule, Temples two previous coaches were Steve Addazio and Al Golden. In the past two years under Collins, the Gators ranked sixth and seventh nationally in total defense.Theyre going to get a guy that motivates players, a guy that really understands the game and understands both sides of the ball, not just the defensive side, Florida coach Jim McElwain said. The PGA Tour returns heads overseas this week to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the CIMB Classic. Custom Miami Heat Jerseys . Justin Thomas won the tournament last year for his one and only win on the PGA Tour, while Ryan Moore won the event in 2013 and 2014.Our experts have put together the players they believe have the skills to succeed and provide big fantasy point totals. This weeks panel is comprised of Bob Harig and Jonathan Coachman as well as FantasyGolfInsiders Jeff Bergerson, Zach Turcotte and Taras Pitra.Note: Golfer salaries listed are for DraftKings.Bob Harig -- Justin Thomas ($10,400)The defending champion returns to the site of his lone victory coming off a strong finish at the Safeway Open, where he followed an opening-round 76 with scores of 66-66-67 to tie for eighth. Hes had four top-10 finishes in his past seven starts, including a tie for sixth at the Tour Championship.Jonathan Coachman -- Patrick Reed ($11,200)I am still trying to figure out how this tournament is officially on the PGA Tour. However, not my call, so I will stop wondering. What I do know is that there seems to be a lot of momentum and excitement in the world of golf coming off of the Ryder Cup as well as the attention given to the Safeway Open, despite Tiger not playing. For those reasons I am picking Reed this week because I think he wants to show the world that he will be the man to beat each and every week. I believe this new wraparound season is going to be the one he captures his first major, and winning early in the year will go a long ways in keeping that confidence going.Taras Pitra -- Hudson Swafford ($6,500)Swafford was one of my plays that I got away from early Thursday morning because of the tee time split concerns last week. Naturally he made the cut and faded on the weekend, but having another player to gain points during those two days is what was the difference in min cashing GPPs or not cashing at all. I wont be making the mistake again with him this week as hes a strong performer in most of the categories were targeting this week, specifically driving distance (7th), greens in regulation (22nd) and birdie or better percentage (19th).Jeff Bergerson -- Tony Finau ($8,100)It is important to note that this weeks CIMB Classic is a no-cut event, meaning everybody is guaranteed four rounds of golf. In weeks like this, I always favor guys who can accumulate DraftKings points via birdies and eagles and Finau is a wonderful example of this type of player. Finau finished ninth at this event last year and also won in Puerto Rico, so he does have tremendous upside. At this price, I see Finau being an excellent cash game or GPP option.Zach Turcotte -- Russell Knox ($8,200)Knox had a breakthrough season during the past year, recording two victories and 11 top-25 finishes. In looking at the types of players that have succeeded in the past few years in Malaysia, a few characteristics tend to stand out; those players who hit fairways and greens tend to be in contention each year, as shown by Ryan Moore and Kevin Na. Knox ranks near the top in both categories and played well in his first start here a year ago, finishing 21st. With the confidence he has gained from his recent wins, he should be able to challenge for a top-10 finish this week and is one of the better values on the board. Dion Waiters Jersey . 8 Kansas to a 64-63 win over Texas Tech on Tuesday night. Lightning may not strike the same spot twice but bad fortune seems to be able to find South Africa several times, particularly on tours of Australia. There was a hand niggle to Kepler Wessels in the 1993-4 series and an elbow concern with Jacques Kallis in 2005-6, but neither of those had the ramifications of injuries suffered during their three most recent tours Down Under.2008-09On the morning of the first Test in Perth, Ashwell Prince was ruled out with a broken thumb, leaving South Africas middle order without one of its most level heads. Prince was struck by Makhaya Ntini in the nets the day before the game and underwent a morning fitness test but his discomfort in holding the bat meant JP Duminy had to debut.Duminy had not set the ODI stage alight and was considered technically deficient against the short ball and spin but stunned doubters with a gutsy half-century in the fourth innings to win the match. He topped up on that with 166 in Melbourne, to keep Prince out of the side and secure a first series win for South Africa in Australia.2012-13During fitness drills at the end of the first days play in Brisbane, JP Duminy slipped and ruptured an Achilles tendon, ruling him out of action for six months. Duminy was picked as an allrounder in the match after South Africa decided to field an all-pace attack so they were both a batsman and bowler short in the game, but with a rained-out second day, it did nnot matter much. Tim Hardaway Jersey. Faf du Plessis replaced Duminy for the second Test, blocked out an entire day, and scored a second-innings century on debut in a show of extreme stoicism to ensure the Adelaide Test was drawn and South Africa sucked the momentum out of Australia. They won the series in Perth.2016-17Forty-two minutes before lunch on the second day, Dale Steyn went down on his haunches in his follow-through and clutched his right shoulder in pain. He left the field with Australia 166 for 1, just 76 runs behind. Steyn had some history with that shoulder - he broke it late in 2015 - and missed three of the four Tests against England as a result. Even before the diagnosis was made, it seemed Steyn would not be back.Vernon Philander, Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj combined to bowl Australia out for 244, conceding a lead of only two. The three-man attack will have to do just as well a second time if South Africa are to take a series lead. It has not been decided who will replace Steyn in the squad - they already have two reserve quicks in Morne Morkel and Kyle Abbott - but whoever is called up could see this as their chance to establish themselves as Duminy and du Plessis did on previous tours. Steyn is likely to require surgery and could be out of the game for six months. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys AuthenticWholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
Terry Gibson said Atletico Madrid blew the chance to win the Champions League after their shoot-out defeat to Real Madrid. Nike Air Max 97 Womens . Sergio Ramos gave Real the lead in the 15th minute but, after Antoine Griezmann missed a penalty, Atletico levelled late on through Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco.Heading into extra-time the momentum seemed to be with Atletico, who were looking to avenge their 2014 final defeat to Real. However, neither side could find a winner and Juanfran hit the post with Atleticos fourth penalty to give Cristiano Ronaldo the chance to seal victory for Real.Atletico blew it in extra-time, said La Liga expert Gibson on Sky Sports. They were so much better in the second half of the game and they looked more likely to win it in 90 minutes. Antoine Griezmann missed a penalty in regular time They looked fitter and sharper, but in extra-time fear took over and gripped both teams. Real Madrid were there to be beaten and they showed great character and resilience to stick in there.Three or four players were hobbling in extra-time, even after taking penalties, and they really had to work hard.Real have now won the competition 11 times while Zinedine Zidane is one of only seven men to lift the trophy as a player and coach.Five months in charge and he has won the Champions League, said Gibson. Many managers at the top of the game for years dont get near it. Its been an extraordinary turnaround in a topsy-turvy season for Real Madrid and it has ended on a high. Cristiano Ronaldo lifts the trophy We underestimate the desire and spirit of the elite players that play for Real. They have had so much experience, win trophy after trophy, but they dug deep tonight. We associate spirit and work-rate with Atletico, but Real showed that tonight. While it was celebration time for Real, it was more heartbreak for Atletico, who have lost three times in the final. But Gibson does not expect manager Diego Simeone to depart and thinks they have a bright future. This squad is in really good shape and has been built for the future. Washington is back in a lofty position in the polls. Cory Littleton Jersey . But the 10th-ranked Huskies staying power will be tested Friday night.Washington will play host to No. 7 Stanford on Friday night at 9 p.m. ET in the first matchup of top 10 teams at Husky Stadium in 19 years. The outcome could go a long way in determining the Pac-12 North and which team moves on as the leagues favorite to get to the College Football Playoff. Its awesome, no question about it, said Washington coach Chris Petersen.Stanfords an awesome program. Ill start with that -- program. This isnt just an awesome team. Theyve had an awesome program here for a while now. They know how to do it right and play good football, win championships. So its a great opportunity for the kids, and for everybody playing in a game like this. The Huskies (4-0 overall, 1-0 Pac-12) played a soft non-conference slate of Rutgers, Idaho and Portland State before surviving a road game at Arizona, 35-28 in overtime Saturday night. Stanford (3-0, 2-0) is much more battle-tested, having defeated Kansas State, USC and UCLA.The Cardinal, too, was taken to the brink last week, scoring a go-ahead touchdown with 24 seconds left and adding a fumble return for a score on the final play in a 22-13 victory at the Rose Bowl. Coach David Shaw was pleased how new starting quarterback Ryan Burns reacted to the do-or-die final drive after struggling for much of the game. There is no substituting the environment he was in, Shaw said after Mondays practice. Not playing a great game ... and coming back with a chance to win at the end of the game, you cant duplicate that. And you cant duplicate what were going to face this week: Top 10 opponent, in their house. Its going to be loud. Youre not going to be able to hear a thing. I think that environment, you dont know how youre going to respond until youre in it.Stanford has won 15 of its past 16 games and has tied a school-record by winning seven consecutive Pac-12 road games. The Cardinal has won three of the past four conference championships.Stanford also has won seven of the past eight meetings against Washington, including 31-14 last season. Cardinal star running back Christian McCaffrey gained 109 rushing yards and 112 receiving yards, including a 50-yard touchdown, in that game.McCaffrey, by his standards, had an abnormally quiet game last week with 138 rushing yards and no touchdowns against UCLA. But Washington yielded 308 rushing yards in its overtime win over Arizona, including 173 to quarterback Brandon Dawkins. The Huskies defense, led by safety Budda Baker, cornerback Sidney Jones and linebacker Azeem Victor, is tied for the national lead with 13 takeaways. They are 15th in scoring defense, allowing 14.5 points per game. The Stanford defense, fueled by defensive tackle Solomon Thomas, is allowing 12.0 points per game against a tougher schedule.Washington quarterback Jake Browning is third nationally in passing efficiency (194.9), with 14 touchdown passes and two interceptions. He didnt play in last seasons loss to Stanford because of injury.Shaw said he is worried about Washingtons offensive speed, which includes receiver John Ross, tailback Myles Gaskin and tailback Lavon Coleman, who was an unlikely hero with a career-best 181 yards against Arizona.Speed everywhere, Shaw said. Their running backs have speed. Their receivers have speed. It used to be that you had to worry about that No. 1 guy (Ross) running by you. Now its a bunch of guys.Stanford likely has more speed that it gets credit for, as McCaffrey is not the only weapon on offense. Wide receiver Michael Rector has 4.4 speed, receiver Trenton Irwin had a team-high seven catches last week against UCLA and backup running back Bryce Love had five carries for 51 yards. He has been working his way back from injury and should be close to 100 percent this week, Shaw said. The Cardinal wont have receiver Francis Owusu, who suffered a concussion last week. This will be the first top 10 matchup in Seattle since No. 7 Nebraska beat the No. 2 Huskies 27-14 in 1997. Washington, earlier this month, reached the top 10 for the first time since Nov. 4, 2001.Are the Huskies all the way back?Fridays spotlight game will begin to really tell the tale.I just want everyone to enjoy college football and be all in, Petersen said. LOS ANGELES -- At this point, after all that has happened in the past year, this latest insult barely registers. Ten players were named to the WNBAs first and second teams on Friday, and not one of them was the woman who is still considered by many to be one of the best female basketball players in the world: Candace Parker.Less than a week earlier, shed been honored pregame as one of the 20 best players in the 20-year history of the WNBA, and somehow, at age 30, after leading Los Angeles to the WNBA Finals, she wasnt even recognized as one of the 10 best players in the league after a season in which she finished top 10 in points, rebounds, assists and steals? Its ridiculous. But this is what happens when a star female athlete doesnt play the role thats been expected of her.Parker hasnt won WNBA championships like she was expected to coming out of the University of Tennessee. Perhaps shes complained a bit too often for some tastes about working conditions or the need for physical and mental rest after year-round competition. She most assuredly didnt kiss the rings of the officials in charge of the Olympic team selection process, who could get away with leaving her off the squad that competed in Rio de Janeiro because the United States is so much better than the rest of the world that it can win without her.Yes, Parker can be inconsistent in her effort and play. But based on ability, production and talent, shes still one of the best two or three players in the womens game. So how in the world can she be left off the Olympic team and the all-WNBA teams? All season Parker has had to control her anger and disappointment at these slights. All season, shes kept it inside. She couldnt let these insults become the latest reason she hasnt won a WNBA championship after an illustrious career at Tennessee. Her legacy is on the line. One more win, and the title shes been searching for the past nine years will be hers. One more win, and all the dislocated shoulders, knee surgeries and ankle sprains will be worth it.That Maya Moore stands in the way of Parkers actualizing on the great promise she entered the league with as the No. 1 overall pick in 22008 is kind of perfect. Johnny Hekker Jersey. Moore has had the career Parker was expected to have. The former Connecticut star, in her sixth season, already has three titles and an MVP award.Moore has also had a more stable, well-run organization and talented rosters with longtime co-stars Seimone Augustus, Sylvia Fowles and Lindsay Whalen. The Lynx have been one of the WNBAs best franchises. The Sparks nearly moved two years ago before a group led by the Los Angeles Dodgers owners stepped in to buy them at the last minute. The Sparks wouldnt be poised to win the WNBA Finals without Parker, and frankly, they wont be able to finish off Minnesota without Parker at her absolute best. Shes the engine who drives everything for L.A. Which is not a knock on the relentless Nneka Ogwumike, the WNBAs MVP, but more a reflection of Parkers unique all-around game. Think of Ogwumike as Draymond Green and Parker as some sort of combination of Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala. For L.A. to win, Parker has to make her teammates better and be dominant at both ends of the court. She must create for others and herself. She must defend and rebound and force steals.Moore has to be phenomenal as well, but Minnesota has the depth and talent to survive an off night or off half from Moore. In Game 1, for example, Moore was scoreless in the first half. But the Lynx kept the game close because Whalen got it going.Parker has been fully aware of whats expected of her throughout her WNBA career: carry the league, her team, womens sports. Become a crossover star in the second-largest media market in the country. Win titles and MVP awards.Oh, and be quiet as the Sparks lurched aimlessly from one owner to the next. Say nothing and stay classy when shes snubbed by the Olympic team.Raise her daughter, Laila. Mourn her friend, coach and mentor, Pat Summitt. It is a familiar burden for the gifted and talented. An impossible standard that Parker has paid a heavy price for not conforming to.She can change that Sunday.
